Meeting
October 11, 2023
- President
Lynn Fonfara called the meeting to order at 6 p.m. Attending were 11
members and 2 guests.

were District 8 Lt. Gov. , Melissa Ajmi and Key Club Lt. Gov, Susan Drawdy from
Lecanto High School.
- Melissa
Ajmi conducted the installation of officers. Installed were:

- Barbara Rollison was named Kiwanian of the Year for here tireless participation in Kiwanis at all levels.
Jim
reported that Field Day has been moved to Thurs. , Nov. 9. Progressing on
schedule. If you will be attending Field Day arrive at approx. 9:30. Please
send your name and birthdate to Jim @ email….Ashlinmorgans@gmail.com. This is
needed to get you registered through Crystal River High School.
- Maggie
reported success with fundraising and she is working on more. Some gift
certificates have been given. She is looking for Field Day sponsors. Our
fundraiser “auction” has been postponed till spring.
- Melissa
Ajmi requested that anyone who would like to work with her as a membership
chair would receive training from Kiwanis.
- SLPs—Sasha
reported that she is eager to work. There will be the KCKC conference on
Oct 21 at Freedom HS in Tampa. Aktion Club had 4 members attending.
- Outing
to Homosassa Park was postponed.
- We
are planning to assist the Homosassa Civic Club with goody bags for
children for kids attending a Santa event to be held at Heritage Park in
Homosassa on Dec, 2. Please donate useful type items for children such as
pencils, Magic Towels, Fun, but useful…not candy. We might also help at
Trunk or Treat at the Civic Club (across from Homosassa Elementary ) on
Oct. 28. 5-7 p.m. contact Jessica McRae
